Jim Lewis, BSEE, Ph.D., CIC
Jim has a rare talent, one not many instructors have--he can not only teach, but he can do what he teaches. He spent 15 years in engineering, climbing the ladder from an entry level technician position to chief engineer, project manager, and department manager before earning his doctorate in psychology and leaving the corporate world to lead seminars in 30 countries.
Jim is especially drawn to helping people become self-actualizers. He is also highly creative, and has written a dozen books on management, leadership, and teams. He became a certified Practitioner of NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) in 1980, a certified practitioner of the Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument® in 1999, and a Certified Integral Coach® in 2008.
In the 1960s, while in college, he taught several thousand people in the Raleigh area of NC to play guitar. This was his first excursion into teaching, and he later tutored other students in calculus, a prelude to his professional seminar instructing, which began in 1980. Needless to say, he loves helping others learn, and if you enroll in one of his classes, you will be a lifelong fan.
-
Because of his engineering background, Jim has a bias for teaching only programs that can be applied. No fluff, feel-good, just "meat and potatoes" types of programs.
